About Magnet Tutoring
Our mission
Magnet Tutoring connects students with top students from Wheeler's prestigious Magnet program for friendly, affordable help right at the local library. Our mission is simple: make quality tutoring easy to reach, whatever your budget or subject.
Our story
We started because we saw how much a little one-on-one help can change the way a student feels about a subject. Not everyone can afford expensive private tutoring, and not everyone learns best in a big classroom. So we built something in between: peer tutoring from students who recently mastered the same material, offered at a price families can manage, in a place that's already part of the community.
How a session works
You choose the length that fits your needs — we offer 30-minute, 45-minute, and one-hour sessions. You can book a private, one-on-one session, or a small group of up to four students who want to learn together at a lower per-person rate.
What to bring: a pencil and a notebook. If you're in grades 5–12, bring a laptop too. It also helps to bring the assignment or notes you want to work on so we can dive right in.
When we meet
Sessions are held on Saturdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. We're a small team of students who tutor a few hours each week, so spots are limited — book ahead to reserve your time.
Where we meet
We meet in a study room at the Mountain View Regional Library, 3320 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
